Job Purpose

This role is to be based at our IT Delivery Centre in Chennai and will include some interaction with other geographically located teams. Key Job Activities

• Build and Deploy web applications and web services in a scalable and reusable manner
• Ability to utilize various application integration techniques to communicate with third party and legacy/back-end systems
• Assist with development of technical design documentation including UML, ERD and other design artefacts
• Ability to performance tune and troubleshoot medium to large scale web applications

Essential requirements

• 2 to 8 years experience building and deploying applications in ATG & J2ee platform.. Especially in any e- Commerce setup
• Experience on multiple versions of ATG will be an added benefit.
• Experience in Continuous Integration Process and should have worked in tools and frameworks associated with CI like Maven and Jenkins.
• Experience in Content Management process and tools.
• Experience with medium to large-scale high-volume e-commerce application management, development and deployment.
• Good knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Service Bus (ESB), Object Oriented Analysis and Design/Development (OOA/OOD)
• Working Knowledge of 2 or more of the following:
  • Java EE/J2EE
  • XML
  • SOAP
  • Web Services
  • Web user interface
  • Integration with ERP/other business applications via middleware
  • Oracle or SQL Server
  • Java open source technologies and frameworks such as Hibernate, Struts, Spring, or JSF
• Should have worked on long term assignments with international customers
• Strong business knowledge and experience in Food, Beverages, FMCG or related industry would be an added benefit.
• Knowledge of best practices for coding and quality control measures

Educational and Behavioural attributes

• Bachelors in Engineering or Technology and Masters in Technology /Business Administration preferred.
• Technical certifications will be an added advantage
